The practice was founded in 2016 by heritage interpreter and designer Paul Bonnici-Waddingham who has a bachelor's degree in heritage interior design and is studying for a master's degree in heritage and interpretation. He is an Associate of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) and the Association for Heritage Interpretation (AHI) and chairs the Brooking Museum of Architectural Detail. As well as designing, Paul has worked hands-on with period buildings for over 25 years and was formerly a brand and marketing consultant where his passion in storytelling and providing meaningful experiences took root.
Paul has recently written a six-part interiors series for the Listed Property Owners' Club membership journal, Listed Heritage Magazine. Issued every two months, the series shares how and why heritage design is a critical part of working with period buildings. His writing is also featured in The Georgian (2019 Issue 1), the twice-yearly magazine of The Georgian Group.
